Our commitment
People reach this website in difficult circumstances, often on an old phone, sometimes with a visual or cognitive impairment, sometimes in acute distress. It needs to work regardless. We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we have done
- Text and background colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios throughout
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Images carry descriptive alternative text
- Form fields have real labels, not placeholder text standing in for them
- The page structure uses proper headings and landmarks for screen readers
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the navigation
- Animation is reduced automatically for anyone whose device requests it
- The layout works down to small phone screens without horizontal scrolling
- Text can be enlarged without breaking the layout

To be completed after an accessibility audit. We will list known issues here honestly rather than claim full conformance we have not verified.
